Orkyd Innovations
From the Bench to the Build Plate
After troubleshooting diagnostic assays, Ryan Stueber realized the fastest way to fix lab headaches was to print the fix himself. What began as after-hours tinkering on a 3D printer soon became a steady queue of colleagues asking, “Can you make one for our lab too?”
With a background in designing, troubleshooting, validating, and transferring diagnostic assays, Ryan has personally created, run, and transitioned these assays from R&D into high-throughput operations labs for years, where real patient and client data is generated. This end-to-end experience gives him a deep understanding of the challenges faced by lab staff, especially those in operations, and how to solve them practically.
Ryan launched Orkyd Innovations to give every local research, biotech, and clinical team access to the same rapid-fire, iterative solutions he once reserved for his own bench. Today, Orkyd blends deep R&D insight with industrial-grade additive manufacturing, delivering parts that fit perfectly and workflows that finally, well, flow.

Beyond Solutions

Real Results
We Have Empathy – We’ve felt the back-of-neck kink from endless plate swaps, so we design to relieve it.
We Implement Iterative Agility – We’ll make tiny tweaks until the part disappears seamlessly into your routine.
We Offer Local Partnerships – We provide face-to-face collaboration across Orange County, Los Angeles, and San Diego.
We Practice Transparent Pricing – Clear quotes, no hidden set-up fees. You pay for solutions, not surprises.
Our Teams are Run by Scientists – Every project lead has hands-on lab credentials; there will be zero translation gaps between your problem and our design.
We Scale Industrial-Grade Capability – We have multi-material FDM printers (coming soon: SLS) plus post-processing that rivals injection molding finish.
We Operationalize Small-Batch Economics – Order ten units or a hundred; you get the same speed and per-part value.
